A longstanding tradition, the Boston Seminar Series (BSS) provides unique opportunities for members of the MIT Community (alumni and their families, staff, parent, and students) to interact with speakers discussing the latest research in science, engineering, management, and public policy. The BSS is a fantastic way to stay on the cutting edge, giving you direct access into what's going on at MIT, over a delicious dinner at the MIT Faculty Club in the company of local alums who have gathered for a sip from the proverbial fire hose.
The 2009-2010 Boston Seminar Series features six lectures that will take us from the outer reaches of the solar system to the inner workings of MIT's endowment. Over the course of the year we will gain an insider's perspective on the global financial crisis, learn about new methods for measuring sustainability, and discover what’s ahead for MIT's trend setting Media Lab.
Once again we are fortunate to have an amazing roster of speakers, including the President of MIT's Investment Management Company, a former Chief Economist of the International Monetary Fund, and a recipient of Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year Award. This promises to be one of our best years yet. The complete schedule is available online. We hope to see you soon!
Special pricing is still available for this year’s season subscribers. A subscription to the series, available for $350pp until September 13, guarantees a seat at all six dinners for the price of five. Purchase your subscription now. Early bird pricing for MITCOB members is $68.50pp.
Thinking about organizing an evening for business colleagues? Why not reserve a corporate table for 8 at the Boston Seminar Series? It's a great opportunity to spend a few hours over dinner and provocative discussion. It's as easy as selecting the “Corporate Table for 8” option in the online registration.
Details about pricing for members, guests, and non-members, can be found on the club's online Events Calendar.
