Are you successful at your job but still don't feel fulfilled? Are you having second thoughts about staying in graduate school? Did you have other dreams before science and engineering became your life? If you answered 'yes' to any of these questions, then you may want to come hear what our panelists have to say. The panel features four MIT alumni who each have forged a unique path:
Andy Bloch - Professional poker player and member of the MIT Blackjack Team, Andy finished second in the 2006 World Series of Poker HORSE event. In total, he has won close to $3,000,000 playing poker tournaments. Andy holds B.S. & M.Eng. degrees in Electrical Engineering at MIT, as well as a law degree from Harvard. Greer Tan Swiston - A former IT executive at Fidelity and Merrill Lynch who ran for Massachusetts State Rep and is currently a candidate for local office. Greer also works part time as a Project Manager, a Beauty Consultant for Mary Kay Inc., teaches Chinese to pre-schoolers, and leads the Tumbling Tots program at the local YMCA. She received her B.S. in Computer Science from MIT.
