* Designing water sanitation systems for humanitarian relief * Connecting a state senator with his immigrant constituents * Running a community service volunteer program
Local MIT alumni/ae are doing all of this and more in professions that benefit the common good! We have the potential for a rich professional network to share our experiences on "the road less traveled" for an MIT graduate, gain career advice, and make connections. We're launching this network with a low-key social event for professional networking with alumni/ae and graduate students in the public, for-profit, and non-profit sectors.
There will be a buffet dinner (soul food from Haley House Cafe & Bakery) and cash bar available at MIT's Muddy Charles Pub. The cost is only $5 for alumni/ae, and free for current graduate students. Everyone is welcome, especially if you are currently working in a non-profit, public service or social enterprise profession or are contemplating switching to a new career.
RSVP using Smartrans by 3/11. After 3/11, call Lori at 617-282-7177 to see whether space remains. https://alum.mit.edu/smarTrans/user/Register.dyn?eventID=11042&groupID=146 |
Location: Muddy Charles Pub - Walker Memorial (142 Memorial Drive)
