Want to play chamber music? Join us from 3-8 Saturday, August 28 at Woods Hole to participate in the kickoff event of the Alumni Chamber Music Society. We will spend the afternoon sightreading chamber orchestra pieces which will include Bach's Brandenburg #3 as well as other popular baroque pieces. We will socialize with other musicians in your area and discuss setting up regular chamber ensembles. Bring your own music stand, and if possible, your favorite chair or stool, as well as swim suit and gear. There is an indoor room suitable for 40-70 for playing music, so there is no need for a rain date. Music will be provided. Chicken barbeque and salads will be provided as part of the event. Please also consider bringing food to share with others. Please RSVP by August 21. Cost is $25 which will cover dinner and the sheet music. When you register, please note what instrument you play and a bit about your background. Address is 80 Church Street in Woods Hole. Follow Route 28 to the middle of Falmouth and then go slight right on Woods Hole Road where 28 goes left into Falmouth Center. As you drive on Woods Hole Road from Falmouth to Woods Hole, Church Street goes off to the left shortly before you see the harbor on the left. You will almost immediately pass the Episcopal Church on your left. You will then pass three houses on the left before coming to Larches Way on the left. 80 Church is contiguous with and just beyond Larches Way.
